Why you need to attend |
Are you confident nothing changed with Social Security this past year? What about the Grantor Trust rules? What about all the changes circling with the VA Rules or changes in Guardianship coming our of Tallahassee? The fact is 2017 brought change just as every year does. The only way to stay on top is to never stop learning. When you look your clients in the eye you want to know that you have done everything to provide them the most accurate information. This event is designed to keep you on top of your game as it relates to Elder Law. To be the best you have to train like the best so register now for the Annual Update.
What is in it for us, What is Our Why?
In 2016 and then again this year the Section leadership spent two days away from their practice and families to focus on what is the mission and purpose of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. It quickly agreed prior to any other goal we may establish we must continue to be the primer source for education regarding Florida Elder Law. No other organization or company has the charge of the Florida Bar to provide that service. So that is why we host CLE events. Still, even with the cost of hosting these events skyrocketing in recent years (those cokes during the break cost $8 a piece did you know that?) we have continued to expand this program. The reason is simple. When attorneys get together new ideas and connections are formed, which make us better. That is why attorneys who have been practicing decades in this field continue to come. That is why those on the conference committee volunteer their personal time over 7 months out of the year to bring you this three day event. That is why we seek out the best vendors to help supplement our program. We want this event to carry on because it helps everyone. So yes we have limited webcasting for those who can't make it because we have all been there, but I urge you to make every effort to be in Orlando this January! We hope to see you!!!
